The CTR9 Light-Weight Fully Automatic Spot Welder
The newest shop tool at Hollingsworth is the Car-O-Liner CTR9. The CTR9 is a new, light-weight fully automatic spot welder. Its 355° swivel handle and telescopic support arm enables perfect working positions and less effort from our shop technicians. One of the advanced features of the CTR9, is it instantly measures the metal panels and calculates the exact amount of time, current and clamping force needed for a 100% quality-weld every time. With the old welder, these calculations were made by technicians for each repair. With the CTR9 Hollingsworth Auto will be saving time on the job.
The CTR9 allows Hollingsworth Auto to achieve a much cleaner and reliable body repair that is nearly identical to the OEM manufacturing process. In fact, the CTR9 creates a high quality weld recommended by manufactures. The CTR9 creates a more isolated, and clean weld directly where it is needed. This allows for multiple welds — closer together — without warping or affecting the strength of the metal receiving the weld.
